The project Camelot’e comes from this mix between fake and genuine, from the value we give to things around us.
A knitted acrylic thread is partly covered by sterling silver creating a match between complicated hand work and the precious metal.
"Je mets ma camelote" était les mots de ma grand-mère française quand elle metait ses bijoux: un mélange complexe d'or véritable et de "toc".
En français camelote se dit d'une marchandise de piètre qualité.
En anglais, Camelot est la cité idéale du roi Arthur.
Imaginé lors d'un échange à Londres, le projet Camelot'e est née de notre perception entre le faux et le véritable.
Un fil acrylique partiellemnt couvert d'argent ou d'or, créant un contraste entre le délicat travail manuel et le métal précieux. -
